Description

Gemsan has been formulated to clean and sanitise air conditioning units and equipment.

 This unique product contains two powerful and safe bactericides, to combat environmental contamination. When used as a 1% solution or stronger, it is effective against bacteria, fungi (moulds), yeasts and algae, yet it is easily removed, even at high dilution rates.

Gemsan’s dual action contains a QAC biocide plus an amphoteric biocide, to ensure that the relative weakness of QACs against gram-per bacteria is overcome by the addictive properties of the amphoteric type.

By combining the two biocides with a sequestrate (EDTA Na4), a synergistic effect is created that is up to four times greater than the biocides on their own. The alkalinity of the product also ensures good cleaning properties – the important first stage in any sanitising process.

Uses

It is worth noting that in strong solutions, the amphoteric biocide is particularly effective, reducing the pH during the rinsing phase and allowing the QAC to become the major biocide. This offers productiveness across a wider pH range.

Directions for Use

• Dilute with water and apply by spray or wiping. Alternatively, components can be immersed or flushed through where necessary.
